I park my car right outside Bizfit this morning and waiting for me outside the door are two of my "SUPER STAR" trainees Ellen House and Lauren Cavenaugh. The firts thing Ellen says (after hello) "I have to leave at 7:45 so can we do Tabata Squats earlier so I don't miss them. That's the reason I came today to do Tabata Squats" For a trainer that's music to my ears. "You bettcha!!" I replied. We started out, after our warm up, with the Crossfit WOD which was 15 double twirl rope jumps (double unders as they are known) 15 Burpees, 15 Box Jumps and a rope climb. Complete as many rounds in 20 minutes. We completed 5 plus rounds and were all gasping for air. I then gave Ellen the "option" to back out of her earlier words, which I knew she would not. So after 5 min rest we blasted through some bottom to bottom tabata squats. Being a trainer is not what I do it is who I am. Going to work everyday and being fortunate enough to associate with such people who understand that the "easy" way out (pills, powders, potions or cosmetic surgery) may not be the best way. Intense exercise early in the morning is not for the faint of heart but if your goals are to improve health, lose weight or look better at the beach there is no other way. Both Lauren and Ellen both look amazing and it's no wonder they have healthy, athletic daughters as well. "Lead from the front".
